Waiting for the release of the new chinepanettone Holiday Christmas, entirely shot in Cortina d’Ampezzo, from 7 to 11 December 2011 the Queen of the Dolomites celebrates her "settimana della moda". In order to welcome its guests on the occasion of the long Immaculate Bridge, back in Cortina, the Long Fashion Weekend is preparing to host in a single weekend the beauty of 100 proposals, between happenings, aperitifs and surprises.
But it will be above all a weekend full of shopping experience and solidarity that you can live along the centre of Cortina, where an extraordinary concentration of shops and flagship stores of the most exclusive brands makes the Queen of the Dolomites known for a long time as a top tourist destination for shopping.
Suffice to say that here there are over 40 blasonate boutiques, for a total of 300 of the most important names of prêt-à-porter, haute couture, sportswear, not to mention jewelry and art galleries. And it will be right around these glamorous party-dressed windows that will undress the party. Or parties.
The inauguration is scheduled for Thursday, December 8 with the cut of the ribbon of Corso Italia on feast. Lights and colors, music in flux, for the launch of an extraordinary beneficent initiative in favor of Baby in the Heart that sees committed on the front line over 30 designers between great brands and promising designers.

On Saturday 10th of September Cortina will focus on its Class hotels, the most starred facilities of the Queen of the Dolomites: Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf, Grand Hotel Savoia & Spa, Miramonti Majestic Grand Hotel, Hotel Ancora, Hotel Ambra Cortina, Hotel Bellevue, Park Hotel Faloria, Franceschi Park Hotel, Victoria Park Hotel and Sporting Hotel Villa Blu.
The 10 structures will have in their hall the videos of the most exhibition projects of the architect Italo Rota with a story of the transformations in the world of fashion, design, tourism and costume through 250 brands of excellence. A project focusing on the evolutions of the universe-luxury, of which Cortina has been Regina for over a century.
Your appetite will be "destroying" on holiday days. Passing from one event to another, there will be some stages in the bars that adhere to the initiative with special happenings.

The closing of the weekend in the name of culture: Sunday 11, the Hotel de La Poste celebrates "Beyond the river, between the trees and the peaks of the city": the great return of Ernest Hemingway is an exhibition promoted in the context of the events of the fiftyth of his disappearance, which celebrates the precious "elective affinity" that linked the great American novelist to the Ampezzo valley. A photographic exhibition – which will remain set up in the halls of Hemingway's favorite hotel throughout the winter season – of the shots that made him his friend Ettore Sottsass.
