There are a thousand ways to tell a place, whether it is a city or destination, with words, of course, but also with music, flavors and, why not?, smells. In this case we talk about "fragranze location", that particular ability to chase a trail of perfume, even on the road.
A typical skill of the so-called "nase", but that we can all in reality refine. It will also happen to you to leave you inebriated from a place, to perceive the stories of smells, to bind in memory a journey to a particular fragrance...
A fascinating theme, that of the olfactory correspondences of places in the world, which today at the Festival Traveling the World was at the center of a talk show moderated by Mariangela Rossi, an expert journalist of tourism and olfactory design, perfect guide for a trip through the suggestions of places related to perfumes and smells, along with two exceptional guests.
So we start from Italy, precisely from Tuscany, with the creator of fragrances Simonetta Giurlani Pardini, who reveals the art of identifying the perfume of a city, of capturing the soul enclosing its charm in the bouquet of a fragrance.
An exercise that knows well, since it is the creator of the secret line of Lucca, born to represent the city in which it lives, but without trivializing it in any "water of". To do so, it was then inspired by a character who so much gave and brought to Tuscany, like Elisa Bonaparte, creating a fragrance that combines notes of magnolia, brought by her, and notes of citrus fruits, which give optimism and grow in the secret gardens of the city.
To follow instead the trend of the moment in the matter of perfumes, which sees the undisputed triumph of the Middle East, we then head towards the Sultanate of Oman together with Sara Cusmà, that of that country represents the Tourist Office in Italy.
A destination of ancient culture, which has its roots in history, but is also looking forward, with a remarkable development. Here, the ancient capital Salalah, one of the main ports of the Persian Gulf, is a starting point towards the north-west of the Incense Road, Frankincense Trail, named for a few years UNESCO World Heritage Site.
But in Oman the travel perfume also chases the bloom and harvest of hundreds of damascene rose bushes, which follow up to the gorges of the Jabal mountain to Akdhar. While the olfactory heart of the destination is enclosed in Amouage, a perfume among the most exclusive and expensive in the world, perfect synthesis of Middle Eastern opulence.
