After travelling around food and travel perfumes, in this edition of the festival Traveling the World declined around the five senses, it could not miss the music.
Music from the world, of course, like those of the Compagnia del Suq, that on the notes of the master Armando Corsi and the voice of Roberta Alloisio, in this last festival evening they transported us in an engaging musical itinerary between Genoa, Europe and South America. Liguria, Sicily, Corsica, France, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, were the sound stages of a journey of the soul following an interweaving of sounds, languages and dialects.
Countries far away, but for centuries they were a destination for conquest or emigration for those who landed right from here, from the Old Port of Genoa, perhaps aboard a galleon similar to that docked a few meters from Piazza Caricamento.
A symbolic place, unique in Italy, which is also the location of the Suq Festival, an event with a strong multi-cultural connotation, which in June will return with its performances, concerts and international meetings to convey the message of possible integration.
Another music, however, was the one that yesterday was the center of the meeting between journalist Beba Marsano and Alvise Casellati, Resident Director of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. In the interview, the Master, who travels mostly "for music", revealed his places of the heart, all immancably linked to the so-called "high music".
From Vienna, the top destination for music players, in Salzburg with its festival, to the Amalfi Coast, where many musicians have found inspiration, including Wagner so much to name one of them, where is the evocative Ravello with its spectacular theater overlooking the sea, that next August 4 will be the scenic location of the Alba Concert directed this year by Casellati.
