Top of the Mountain concert
In Ischgl the ski seasons are traditionally inaugurated with a spectacular concert. This year the British superstar James Blunt will warm up the atmosphere of the legendary concert with the songs of his new album "Moon Landing". The musical event will take place, as every year, on the open-air stage on the Idalp. The entrance is free for those who bought a multi-day ski pass, for all others the daily costs 60 euros and for two days 88 euros.
Les 2 Alpes * 29/11 – 06/12/2014
Pow(d)er Week
A week at full speed on the slopes and off: it is what guests of the legendary opening of the SnowTrex season can expect. The event will take place once again in Les 2 Alpes, the largest ski area on the French glacier which reaches 3600 meters, including snowparks and long descents on powder snow. In addition to the excellent ski pleasures, guests can participate in an open-air après ski area with grill station and vin brûlé, live concert of the cover band „XTREME", fun snow races and much more.
Obertauern * 29/11/2014
"A Tribute to the Beatles"
50 years ago, the Beatles were on the skis in Obertauern, making their musical film "Help". This winter the original music group of Liverpool will be remembered at the event "A Tribute to the Beatles" that will open the winter season of 2014/15. The star of the show dedicated to the Beatles will be "Elvis delle Alpi" – Andreas Gabalier – as well as the cover band of the Beatles "The Backwards". Tickets cost € 38 in advance and € 48 at the evening of the event.
Schruns/Montafon * 04 – 14/12/2014
Snowboardcross World Cup
A programme rich in competitions and live music awaits guests in the Silvretta Montafon ski area. From 4 to 7 December on Hochjoch mountain, international snowboardcross experts will compete in the FIS World Cup. The European Snowboardcross and Alpine Skiing Cup and the Austrian Snowboardcross Championship will also take place on Saturday, December 13th. The most anticipated musical event is the live performance of the group "Fantastischen Vier" (06/12) and "Bastille" (13/12). Entrance to sports events is free with a valid ski pass, while the ticket for a concert costs in advance € 35 and € 45 at the show night. A limited number of tickets for both concerts costs € 64.
Saalbach-Hinterglemm * 05 – 08/12/2014
Swatch Snow Mobile 2014
At the center of Saalbach will hold a great show of races and parties. 24 teams will participate in the "Swatch Snow Mobile" event by training, qualifying and eventually challenging in the big race. The snowmobiles do not compete on the slopes, but along the streets in the center of the village. The concert of Ö3 Race-Party and other live performances will make the atmosphere in Saalbach become even more festive. The entrance is free for everyone, spectators and "events".
Versciaco-Monte Elmo * 29/11/2014
Winter Ski-Opening & Inauguration of new ski lift
The opening of the winter season in the Sesto Dolomites this year coincides with another special event: the connection of the ski areas of Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa thanks to the Orto del Toro ski lift and the inauguration of the new railway station of Versciaco-Dolomiti di Sesto. At the valley station of Monte Elmo in Versciaco the guest of honor will be the Irish musician and the judge at the program of the German edition of "The Voice of Italy" Rea Garvey, who will perform live. It will continue with performances of Abba-Coverband Abba99, Marc Pircher and Band 4Twenty and to crown the evening will not miss the fireworks. Later in the "Punka" service center, some international DJs will conclude the event. Tickets for the entire show are on sale from € 42.
Mayrhofen-Hippach * 13/12/2014
3 edition of Rise & Fall
One of the most outstanding alpine events will be held for the third consecutive year in Mayrhofen. The relay race will see 50 teams of four people compete in four different disciplines: at the beginning of the race the competitors will compete in mountaineering and mountain biking ("Rise") and then proceed in paragliding and skiing or snowboard ("Fall"). The winning team will receive the prize € 4000. Entrance to the race is free. The audience will also be heated by an acrobatic show of the winners of the breakdance world cup for 4 times – "Flying Steps".
Sölden * 26/12/2014 – 3/04/2015 + 10 & 11/04/2015
Maxx Mountain Party + Electric Mountain Festival
During the entire winter, clubs play an important role in Sölden. The Maxx Mountain Party opening party in the Funzone on Giggijoch (2300 m) will be held on 29/11/2014 with first-class DJs. Starting from 26/12 every Friday will be marked by electronic music and live performances on the same stage. The Electric Mountain Festival of 2 days will take place from 10 to 11/4/2014 ending the winter season with the best beats.
Nassfeld (Passo di Pramollo) * 14/03/2015 + 22/04/2015
Snowbeach + Feast of Cuba
Under the mild spring sun in Nassfeld (Passo di Pramollo) the event "Snowbeach am Berg" will be held at 14/3/2015. Those who come in bikinis or swimsuits on the slopes will receive a free drink. On "Snow-Walk" will be presented the fashion of swimwear and the "Waterslide Contest" in the afternoon participants will try skiing or snowboarding on a pool of 15 meters. On 22/4/2015 on a beach with palm trees will be organized a "Festa de Cuba" with caipirinha, mojito and Latin rhythms. Skiing will certainly be possible during all events.

Ski opening festival Planai
The Schladming Tourist Board (TVB) did not spice this winter organizing a real festival at the opening of the season. In the Planai stadium five stars will perform on stage: the famous German rapper "Casper", the rock group "Kraftklub" from Dresden, the British singer-songwriter Marlon Roudette, DJ duo "Klangkarussell" from Salzburg and the Austrian group Tagträumer. With this star lineup the price of € 49 is really a good deal.
