From 29 January to 1 February, the city of Gent, in Flanders, return to shine of the lights Gent Light Festival, with special installations, projections and artistic performances with light, of students and artists also international, who will create a unique route in the historical center and the district of the arts (so called for the presence of important museums) for a total of about five kilometers.

An itineary that has as common denominators the imagination and participation: only to name a few, a medieval square turns into a virtual future, a piano allows anyone to create their own light show, it will also be possible to dance with light and even the Polittico dell'Agnello Mistico by Van Eyck, masterpiece of the history of Flemish art preserved in ♪, will make its virtual appearance. All with an eye also to sustainability, consistent with the reputation of Gent as a green city: led lights, low energy impact projectors and a programme of dark planned in entire neighborhoods will keep the usual energy consumption level.
All installations and performances are free and within walking distance and a map created ad hoc and an app for smartphones are available to facilitate the visit.
