For a few months there has been a new, unusual attraction in Bangkok. This is about The Ferry Gallery, a ferry that slides along the waters of the Chao Phraya river and, at the same time, represents the most recent and innovative exhibition space dedicated to contemporary arts.

The boat is a normal ferry designed also to fulfill its function of art space. Videos of professional artists and photographs are projected on board on three large monitors and eight light boxes placed on the outside of the boat. Each exhibition has a variable duration from two to three months. In short, a creative gallery on the river that helps tourists to enjoy contemporary art and symbols of the Thai artistic heritage at the same time.

The Ferry Gallery sails on the Chao Praya River, between Tha Thien Pier and Wat Arun Pier, uninterruptedly from 05.00 in the morning to 21.00 in the evening. Access to the middle does not include payment of any ticket, except for the normal ferry fee of three baht per person, per route.
