Calculate at least three hours of walking, a little more if you plan to make stops, perhaps right in correspondence of the remains of three forts located along the route: Pino, Mesola and Orrico fort. Built by the English on the site of pre-existing Bourbon sighting towers, they rise to a peak on the cliff, in a strategic position to control the bays of the western coast of the island.
Suspended between the rocks and the sea, the path winds through the Mediterranean scrub that smells like juniper and lentisk. It is impossible to miss, do not be afraid, even because the path is dotted with majolica tiles, the work of a well-known local artist, the Rubino master, who in addition to bringing you back on the right path, in case you need it, tell you with images and words the flora and fauna typical of the places you are crossing.
You will also pass under Villa Damecuta, or at least what remains of one of the magnificent dwellings of Emperor Tiberius, in love with the island of Capri to the point of deciding to leave Rome to come and spend the last years of life.
And at the end of the journey, the wonder of the Blue Grotto will be the deserved reward of the walk. Put yourself patiently in the queue on the ladder that descends to the sea and wait for your turn to climb on the rows that are the only ones allowed to enter the anthropo where the external light that is reflected on the bottom creates magical light games, making the water almost phosphorescent.

Hidden in a hilly road, it is not easy to find, so if you are not practical of the place you should ask for free transfer at the time of booking, a really useful and very welcome service.
If you have path the Path of the Fortini in reverse direction, from the Blue Grotto to the Lighthouse of Punta Carena, among the most powerful of the Tyrrhenian Sea, upon arrival you will be welcomed by Lido del Faro, which in addition to a series of sun terraces degrading to the sea, also has a restaurant with a menu of appetizing and fast dishes. 
I suggest you try the speciality of the house, that is the caponata with tuna, anchovies, olives and corn biscuit, fresh and light dish, perfect for a day of sea. From here you can admire one of the most suggestive sunsets on the island, although the most spectacular, according to my modest opinion, is what you enjoyat the Belvedere at the top of the Migliera cliff, which rises right behind the Lighthouse.
There, nestled between the green and the rocks, there is also one of the best restaurants on the island, from Gelsomina at Migliera. The large terrace from which the islands of Ischia and Procida can be seen in the distance the ideal place for a romantic tete-à-tete accompanied by the most tasty dishes of the local tradition, from the classic Capri ravioli to the fusilli to the Nerano, from the rabbit to the hunter to the legendary goat cake of hazelnuts and chocolate, all prepared with local products or homemade. And by side, the unmatched view of the Gulf of Naples.
