More than 40 exhibitors from the world’s most famous brands, more than 30 dynamic events of clubs and car manufacturers, over 1000 supercars from all over Italy: start climbing the adrenaline for Valentino Salone Auto Torino, a car festival that from June 6 to 10 contains all the colors of passion for the four wheels.
A passion represented by the presence of presidents and CEOs of exhibitors and representatives of the automotive world at the parade Supercar Night Parade, the glamorous event that closes the opening day of Parco Valentino Salone Auto Torino 2018. On Wednesday, June 6, at 8 p.m., the brand representatives will be driving the most representative car of their brand, previously exposed in car display inside the courtyard of the Castello del Valentino, creating an exclusive catwalk.
Heart of the event is the outdoor exhibition, along the avenues of the splendid Parco del Valentino, with extended hours until 24 and free admission to the public, Motor Show 2018 has a calendar full of events.
First among all the Prototype exhibition, the celebration of car design. In the structure specially created inside the Parco del Valentino, the prototypes of yesterday and today will create a suggestive journey between the genius and the creativity of the pencils that have created among the most iconic models of the world history of automotive: Lamborghini Miura, Lamborghini Countach by ASI Bertone, GTZero and Brera Prototype by Italdesign, Zonda HP Barchetta by Pagani, Ferrari Mythos, Ferrari Sergio, Lancia Florida II of 1957 and Sigma Grand Prix of 1969 by Pininfarina, Codatronca di Spadaconcept, RUF RK Spider and Porsche Moncenisio by Studiotorino.
Other great event: I 50 years of Italdesign. Inside the courtyard of the Valentino Castle, for all 5 days, will be visible to the public the prototypes of the style center, a walk among the models that were protagonists of half a century of the world car market: like Fiat Panda, Volkswagen Golf, Mini, Maserati 3200, Alfa Romeo Brera, Audi TT. And on the Mole Antonelliana, on Saturday 9 June, the logo of Italdesign will remind everyone of the celebration of the style center of Moncalieri.
On 8 June 1948 Porsche was born and the house of Stuttgart will celebrate its 70 years in Turin, in Piazza Castello. From June 6 to 10 events, gatherings and a special exhibition make up the program of a celebration that promises to recall all the Italian and foreign fans, with its apex on Friday, June 8, exact birthday, when from the Mole Antonelliana will shine the logo of the 70 years of Porsche.
On the side of Palazzo Madama there will be a prestigious area dedicated to classics: Car&Vintage returns to Turin with the stage of its international tour "La Classica" and will exhibit multi-brand cars, unique pieces and timeless models.
From Piazza Castello you can only walk a few dozen meters to reach Piazza Vittorio Veneto, another focal point of the events calendar of Parco Valentino. A walk under the arcades of Via Po where, from 3 May until 15 June, a photographic exhibition dedicated to the public, who wants to tell the story and evolution of the brands in collaboration with Motul.
It is called "A path in the history of the car" and consists of panels suspended in the arch of the street, each of which is dedicated to a brand, with its foundation date, the image of the first car produced and the photograph of one of the last models launched on the market. From Mercedes-Benz, born in 1886, in Tesla, which was founded in 2003, on a journey that traces the stylistic and engineering evolution of one of the symbols of modernity and human freedom: the car.
Arrived in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 June the public will participate in the festival in red Ferrari, organized by the Ferrari Club Italia that collects a selection of prestigious classics, along with the 8 and 12 cylinders that have made the history of the house of Maranello.
The size of the largest porticoed square in Europe allows to collect numerous meetings of passion for the four wheels. On Saturday, June 9th the Renault Floride Caravelle will be hosting: the spiders, all belonging to a French club, will meet in Piazza Vittorio Veneto and will let the public admire before leaving for a dynamic parade, going to meet visitors and fans among the streets of the center.
The same program for Lancia Delta Integrali, actresses protagonists of the show "We bring home the myth" staged by Independent Cars Italia. On the other side of the square are the members of the Rotay Club, owners of classic cars and supercars. The 70th anniversary Lotus will be celebrated in Piazza Vittorio Veneto with the models of the famous English brand in an international meeting.
Among the dynamic events, the place of honor is reserved for the 4th edition of the Grand Prix Parco Valentino organized in collaboration with Aci Torino: private and passionate crews that will depart from Piazza Vittorio Veneto/piazza Castello to arrive at the Reggia di Venaria, passing through the streets of the center of Turin (via Roma, Piazza San Carlo, Piazza Castello, via Po, bridge of the Gran Madre, Basilica di Superga). In Venaria the convoy will be welcomed by the band of the town and by the watchmen who will escort it in the pedestrian street Mensa, up to the gates of the sabauda residence.
