The Castle of Guarene dominates the Roero and the valley of Tanaro from the top of one of the hills of Piedmontese wine that have become a UNESCO heritage. This manor was the residence of the Counts Roero, the noble Astigian family who gave the name to the area and then the Provana of Collegno.
