After a double flight Royal Air Maroc via Casablanca, Agadir welcomes us with all the magnificence ofAtlantic Palace, resort among the most luxurious of Morocco and the only 5 luxury stars in the country complete with thalasso center, golf and casino. A large palm grove ensures the privacy of the complex that extends over 7 hectares near the sea, in the tourist area of the city, conceived as a medina formed by different riads in Moorish style in the colors of white and ocher, typical of southern Morocco.
More than just a hotel, the main building looks like a Princely residence, with splendid halls decorated by the best Moroccan artisans: just to understand, the hall measures something like 1000 square meters, embellished by a coffered ceiling that is a true masterpiece of Arabic-Marocchina art, while the adjacent Salon Royal, another 400 square meters minimum, was built nothing less than on the model of a hall of the Royal Palace of Rabat.
Extra-size is also the large heated pool overlooking the rooms and the terrace Restaurant L’Oasis, where we have breakfast with freshly baked cakes and brioche, fresh seasonal fruit and a perfumed mint tea prepared as a rule of art: what it takes before immersing ourselves in the chaotic atmosphere of Suk El Ha, destination of our first visit.
With 6,000 shops and shops divided by sectors, it is a real shopping paradise for those who love the ethno-chic style, where they discover ceramics, carpets, leather bags, Berber handicrafts, and then silver jewellery, bracelets and necklaces of stones to make the head turn. Needless to say that bargaining is obligatory! Not less intriguing is the field of spetials, where among aromatic herbs and exotic spices you can also stock honey of all kinds and the precious oil of Argan, typical of this area of southern Morocco (but of these typical productions we will have way of speaking later).
