Twenty ideal climate theses and conditions all year round make Cabarets, on the north coast of Dominican Republic, the paradise of sports enthusiasts who "combine" sea, surfboards and winds. This is why the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association – PKRA – has chosen it as a fixed destination for world cup events. I World Kiteboarding will take place from 22 to 26 June 2011. During the whole race, the Dominican resort will be the scene of the spectacular challenges of kite surf stars.

A holiday in the days of the world cup is an excellent opportunity to enjoy and admire at the same time the beauty of Cabarete and the evolutions of the surfer tribe.

Since the early 1980s, the beautiful Dominican resort located along the north coast of the country – 20 minutes from Puerto Plata – was known to surfers and windsurfers from all over the world. Now, the Dominican queen of the wind has also become one of the world capitals of kitesurf, the sport that puts together table and parachute sail. Cabarete is now a fixed destination for specialty World Cup events and even offers a hotel dedicated to kiteboarding: the Kitebeach Hotel.

Cabarets is so loved by those who are passionate about "wind and boards" that can be defined as a creation of this type of sportsman. They were the surfers all over the world, in fact, that with their word of mouth Cabarete was born as a tourist resort.

Moreover the conditions of this resort are really unique: twenty progressive, light currents that bring back to the beach, absence of dangerous fish and a beautiful bay "protected" at its entrance from the coral reef. The picture includes the hills that are close to the resort and which help create the optimal climate and landscape context for these sports: a unique combination of winds and waves.

The appointments of the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association are a unique opportunity to admire evolutions that offer an unparalleled degree of spectacularity.

Cabarete, however, is not only perfect for those who have made the table a philosophy of life. This location is also ideal for those who want to approach from neophyte to this sport. The intensity of the wind varies at different times of the day and there is a good time for everyone, even for beginners. In Cabarete, of course, you can also find many schools that teach how to fly on the waves; to quote some name among the most famous: Kitexcite, Kite Club Cabarete, Laurel Eastman. The lessons are tailored to the level of student experience.
