Dominio di Bagnoli, a charming farmhouse in a historic Venetian villa immersed in the vineyards of Bassa Padovana.
During my tour between Padua and the Riviera del Brenta I was a guest of the Dominio di Bagnoli, a historic farm with a delicious farm immersed in the vineyards of Lower Padua. It is located in Bagnoli di Sopra, a short distance from Conselve, between Padua, the Euganean hills and the Venice lagoon.

Domain of Bagnoli
The Domain of Bagnoli is a unique historical property, which also includes an active farm that extends over 600 hectares of land.
Thefive hundredth century walls border and protect the monumental complex, the heart of the Dominion, which boasts 1000 years of history. In the center the majestic Villa Widmann Borletti, surrounded by historical gardens, ancient granaries, Wine cellar, Brolo with its vineyards and the pond, and not least the farm. 
A careful conservative restoration has in fact transformed the stables in the welcoming Agriturismo del Dominio di Bagnoli, a country house overlooking the vineyards and private pool available to guests only, perfect for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature. A destination in the destination, where privacy is guaranteed.
I am three apartments that recreate the atmosphere of a charming country house; each one has two bedrooms with private bathroom, kitchen and living area. Upon arrival guests can find some local products in the house and bikes are available in the garden to visit the Dominion and move inside.
The days run in contact with nature, between walk in Brolo – the long avenue of poplars opening the road to vineyards and the grove – physical activity between the vineyards, bird watching, barbecue or afternoon relaxing by the pool.
During the day you can also visit the monumental gardens of Villa Widmann Borletti with the largest collection of statues by Antonio Bonazza: 42 sculptures made at the end of the '600 representing the zodiac signs, the gods of the Olympus and the dark characters of the Goldoni comedy. And it is not a coincidence, since the great Venetian comedian was usually coming to holiday in the estate, host of the owners of the time, and loved to act in the theater "home".
Cantina del Dominio di Bagnoli
Not to be missed, a tasting of the wines of the company accompanied by slices of the area and fried tortelli in the historical Cantina del Dominio di Bagnoli. Here. the excellence of wine production is the Fryer docg, a ruby red color of large structure that you get from a autochthonous vine of ancient origins.
A wine that stands out for acidity and tannicity, with an excellent predisposition to aging; from its white wine making it is also obtained a sparkling wine with golden, fresh and mineral color.
The Cantina del Dominio di Bagnoli also produces Merlot and Cabernet, Chardonnay and Sauvignon, Prosecco and Spumanti classic method. All wines that can be purchased directly in the cellar or online.
Trattoria in Corte dal Capo
In the area there are good tables where to taste the typical specialties of Bassa Padovano, as In the Court of Justice, in Conselve, a typical trattoria that does not lack a graceful elegance both in furniture with period furniture and in service.
Although its strength is certainly the cuisine, also recognized by numerous reports of the major gastronomic guides, including the Gambero Rosso. In a cosy room heated by the chimney fire (but in the beautiful season you can also eat outdoors), recommended by the patron, we enjoyed a series of appetizers of the house, followed by Tagliolini al vin Friularo, Pollo latte e Honey, biscotteria Mita.
