RONCO CANAVESE
A Fantastic Valley: peaches, products and biodiversity
At the heart of this first appointment in Valle Soana, on the Piedmont side of the PNGP, is the Municipality of Ronco Canavese, an emblem of traditions carefully preserved, dialects, stories and interesting legends.
The Soana Valley is perhaps the least known, but extraordinarily rich in biodiversity and on this occasion will be told through its history and that of its inhabitants.
In this territory the most famous and widespread ambientation is that of the wood, the kingdom of the most mysterious, avian and evocative animal with which human beings have lived: the ?. He was exterminated in the Alps because of his demonic image and that was brought back to the legendary presence of witches, here they are known by the name Masks.
6-10 July
NOAS
Noasca from King
Noasca is one of the three main centres of the Valle Orco, a valley area that opens on beautiful grasslands, a place of election of the great ungulates such as the stambecco, symbol of the Gran Paradiso National Park, and the suede. Right here the King Vittorio Emanuele II decided to build one of the most important hunting houses of the Park, the house of the Grand Piano of Noasca.
Recaptured by the Park with rigorous attention to the artistic details and colors of the time, now the structure is home to scientific research and surveillance. The traditional July appointment for the public in Noasca this year has a 5 days to properly celebrate the centenary of the Park.
The historical revisitation traces the events of the time when King Vittorio Emanuele II frequented this valley to devote himself to the venatorial activity. It is an important appointment of Centenary of the Gran Paradiso National Park also to give the necessary relief to that fundamental figure that is the Guardaparco, which historically derives from the Royal Guards of Hunt of the King.
23 July
AYMAVILLES
Between History and Nature: discovering the pearls of Aymavilles
The village of Aymavilles is located on the Valdostano side of the Park, in Val di Cogne, and, in the calendar events for the 100 years of the protected area, chooses to celebrate the life that gravitated around the castle, recently reopened to visitors after a long restoration.
On July 23rd it will be a day of deepening of the Alpine culture to retrace an imaginary journey to discover the everyday life that lived ?the 1300 and the 1400, when the life of the village gravitava tightly around the cas?and the lords who lived there.
We can imagine the bonds between them, the interweaving of traditions, the work with the typical productions, the fatigue but also the luck of being able to cultivate that wide valley rich and fruitful.
We will imagine the life of those times, still so far from the Park but that perhaps they have so much to teach modern Man for their simplicity, devotion and respect of Nature.
Thematic excursions accompanied by the Park Guides are planned for the occasion to talk about Alpine civilizations, past and present.

REQUEST
Sister Water: humble, pitiful et casta
In all cultures water and natural elements were symbol of the spiritual and divine plan, whether these were pagan, polytheistic, pantheistic or monotheistic.
Today entering into connection with natural elements also means finding spaces of dialogue with the depth of oneself and perceiving the beauty of what surrounds us, the perfection of the universe from infinitely great as the starry sky to infinitely small as life within a drop of water.
Inspired by the Canticle of Creature, the day will fall on a path of search for sounds and deeper meanings related to the water element, not only understood as a resource, but also as a recurring symbol in the history of all civilizations.
