Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension: 7 nights in Phuket + 7 nights in selected areas in Krabi, Phang-Nga or Surat Thani, and then you can travel to other destinations in Thailand.
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launches the update of the Phuket Sandbox program giving rise to Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension.
The Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension program allows fully vaccinated international travelers to reduce their compulsory stay in Phuket from 14 to 7 days, after this period it will be possible to spend another 7 nights in Krabi (Ko Phi Phi, Ko Ngai, or Railay), Phang-Nga (Khao Lak or Ko Yao), or Surat Thani (Ko Samui, Ko Phangan or Ko Tao).

PHUKET SANDBOX
– Travelers can only visit Phuket and stay less than 14 nights. However, in this case, they must immediately leave Phuket on an international flight to another country at the end of their stay.
– During the stay, additional RT-PCR tests are still required on 6-7 days and/or 12-13 days.
– Travelers must have completed 14 nights in Phuket before visiting other Thai destinations in addition to selected areas in Krabi, Phang-Nga or Surat Thani. They also have to be negative results for COVID-19 twice the day 6-7 and the day 12-13.
PHUKET SANDBOX 7+7 EXTENSION
– Before travelling in the selected areas of Krabi, Phang-Nga or Surat Thani, travellers must obtain a Transfer Form, issued by their hotel in Phuket, which confirms the stay for 7 nights and which must be exhibited together with the negative results of the two COVID-19 tests (conducted on day 0 and day 6-7).
– The journey from Phuket to selected areas of Krabi, Phang-Nga or Surat Thai is only possible through approved routes and modes of transport.
Surat Thani (Samui Plus – Ko Samui, Ko Phangan or Ko Tao) can be reached via the direct national flight of Bangkok Airways on the Phuket-Ko Samui route.
Krabi (Ko Phi Phi, Ko Ngai or Railay) can be reached with SHA Plus certified ferry and boat services from two approved docks: Ao Po Pier and Rassada Pier.
Phang-Nga (Khao Lak) can be reached by SHA Plus certified car transfer services from Phuket directly to SHA Plus certified hotels.
Phang-Nga (Ko Yao Noi or Ko Yao Yai) can be reached via SHA Plus certified ferry and boat services from three approved jets – Ao Po Pier, Ao Po Grand Marina and Bang Rong Pier – at Ko Yao Yai and Ban Laem Yai Pier and Ko Yao Noi Manoh Pier.
– Once travelers have completed the extension of 7 nights in Krabi, Phang-Nga or Surat Thani and will be negative results to the third COVID-19 test (conducted in days 12-13), they will receive an Unlock Form from their hotel, and they will continue their journey to other destinations in Thailand.
– If your stay in Krabi, Phang-Nga or Surat Thani is less than 7 nights, travelers must go directly to Phuket International Airport on the day of departure. At the entrance to Phuket they will have to show an air ticket or other proof of their journey.
– In Thailand, it is recommended for travellers to continue with precautions to prevent COVID-19 spread: space, mask, hand cleaning, temperature control, COVID-19 test, tracking app.
MEASURES FOR ENERGY IN THAILAND BY THAILANDS AND NOT THAILANDS
Before arrival
Travelers must travel from countries/territories approved by the Thai Centre for the administration of the COVID-19 situation (CCSA) and must have been in such countries no less than 21 days before the date of travel, except for Thai citizens and foreign expats returning from abroad. They must request an entrance certificate (COE), using the following documents:
– Copy of valid passport.
– Copy of payment confirmation for stays not less than 14 nights at one or more SHA Plus certified hotels and for RT-PCR testing through www.thailandpsas.com. If the duration of the stay is less than 14 nights, travelers must also present an air ticket confirmed by Thailand.
– A certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved by the Thai Ministry of Public Health or the World Health Organization (WHO) obtained at least 14 days before the date of travel.
– Copy of an insurance policy in English covering health and treatment costs for COVID-19 for the entire duration of the trip to Thailand with a clearly identified cover in no less than $ 100,000.
Travellers must undergo exit screening before departure, must submit all the required documentation, including a medical certificate with a result of a negative RT-PCR laboratory at Covid carried out no more than 72 hours before the date of travel.
