A November, Turin back to being the capital of Contemporary Art. The ignition of Artist lights symbolically marks the beginning of the seventh edition Contemporary Art, a whole month (and more) of exhibitions, events, appointments with creativity under the Mole. If you are passionate about art, contemporary but not only, this is the right time to plan a weekend in the Turin capital. Here are then events and dates to be marked on the agenda. Starting the 1° November with the opening of Artist lights, which will illuminate streets and squares of Turin until 13 January 2014. To the collection of the City, which will see exhibited seventeen works of artists already known to the general public, two new creations are added: 'Culture = Capital’ Alfredo JAAR in Piazza Carlo Alberto, on the facade of the National Library and 'Ice cream light’ Vanessa SAFAVI in Bodoni square. ARTISSIMA 20, defined the fifth most important contemporary art fair in the world, polo of coordination of artistic exhibitions in Turin, takes place at the Oval del Lingotto from8 to the 10 November. It houses a selection of 190 galleries – from 38 countries and organized in five sectors – from consolidated names to the newest and most experimental voices of the contemporary world, along with museums, foundations, magazines and an intense program of conversations, meetings and guided tours. The main novelty of the twentieth edition is ONE Turin, an annual review organized by ARTISSIMA together with Castle of Rivoli, GAM, Foundation Merz, Foundation Sandretto King Rebaudengo and Palace Cavour.
SAbbot 9 November goes on stage the Night of Contemporary Arts one of the most significant appointments of the Autumn Special, characterized by events of contamination between the different arts. During the evening there is an extraordinary opening of museums, musical spaces, galleries and show rooms.
The ninth edition PARATISSI "Art Games, From 6 to the 10 November, is again housed in the unconventional space of the former M.O.I of via Giordano Bruno. The eighteen thousand square meters of exhibitions under the historical arches welcome 500 artists, art galleries, thematic exhibitions and special projects. Within the review should be mentioned Hit PARAde, an exhibition of the best artistic proposals of last year: on display the works of 14 artists selected among the more than 500 members.
