The Cloche 1967
The restaurant is fifty years old and Pinuccia Bello, the owner, re-launches the family restaurant by attaching an important name of Piedmontese food, that Walter Eynard who reached the two Michelin stars with his Flipot in Torre Pellice (impossible to forget his own dish icon, the barbetta supa).

Exit from the Somaschi Hotel in Cherasco, Eynard accepted the Turin challenge and proposes a kitchen where the gastronomic tradition of the valleys, which he has contributed to make known to all Italy (and not only) meets the dishes of Monferrato, area of which are native Nino and Rosa, the father and mother of Pinuccia who inaugurated in 1967 the restaurant on the road of Traforo del Pimonteno, at the gates of the Piedmontese capital.

During the inaugural evening we could experience some taste of this combination of kitchens that promises very interesting. Starting from the extraordinary selection of Piedmontese cheeses (including of course the seirass del fen, emblem of the valleys) to the eel in carpione and salmon with cream of dried tomatoes that accompanied the aperitif.

It continued with the Crêpes Parmentier with cold smoked salmon and saffron sauce, the fillet of salamirino baked on the stone of Luserna, the flower of zucchini novella with pharaoh mousse and the cutlets to the shoots of nettle, the quail on the hedge of goose fat liver. All accompanied by wines of a gourmet end like Franco Martinetti.

La Ciacola
La Ciacola is the new challenge "easy" of the restaurant Il Ciacolon, flag holder of the Triveneto cuisine in the Piedmontese capital. Known for its large buffet counter that has always been the signature of the restaurant located in the pre-collinary area, on the road that leads to Cavoretto, now offers a faster and informal restaurant.

Without sacrificing quality. The spaces are those adjacent to the Ciacolon: bright rooms, light colors and the advantage, in the summer season, of being able to sit in a beautiful terrace that immediately gives the idea of vacation. La Ciacola is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 to 14 and evening from 19 to 24.
At lunch you can take advantage of the appetizers, while in the evening you bet on the aperitif accompanied by many "stuzighezi" as they call them here, i.e. saucers with stuzzuchini suitable for both the debut and the closing of the evening.
Villa Somis
With the return of the Chiodi-Latini family, the splendid Art Nouveau villa of Val Pattonera has resumed the place that deserves among the hilly restaurants in Turin. Meanwhile, it deserves the position: eating on the terrace, with views of the city and the frame of mountains already has its own because, especially if you are in couple. But the view, of course, is not enough.

And here comes the dishes of Stefano Chiodi-Latini, son of art, that is said "young but mature chef". Stefano wants to say his about the great classics of Piedmontese tradition, bringing some original idea, but without overdoing. In the menus there is always room for a little sea that, especially in summer, never spoils.

The curiosity of Villa Somis is that on the upper floor continues to offend Antonio Chiodi-Latini, the father of Stefano. A delicious space has been created with exposed kitchen counter and a few tables for those who want to appreciate its " integral vegetable cuisine" that has baptized New Food.
We could call it "vegan with class", because Antonio is a long-term chef who does not want to indoctrinate anyone. Rather, she loves to experience and have fun among flours, plant extracts, whole pasta and quality oils. If you want to try his dishes at Villa Somis, definitely original on the Turin square, hurry. Because Antonio Chiodi Latini intends, in autumn, to bring his vegan proposal in the centre of Turin.
