There are 23 star restaurants in the Langhe, for a total of 26 Michelin stars that shine on the hills of Langhe Monferrato Roero, which thus becomes the most starred UNESCO Vitivinicolo Landscape in the world. To the 21 star chefs of the territory who with passion and great daily commitment have confirmed the prestigious award of the Michelin Guide, in the 2018 edition are added 2 new entries.
It is the Larossa Restaurant in Alba and the Osteria Arborina in La Morra, on the hills of Barolo, which are the confirmation that working well, with humility and attention to quality, to the care of the environments and the guest, enhancing the great products of the territory, safeguarding the traditions, with an eye always directed towards the future and the world, leads to great results.
But who are the new star chefs? The first Andrea Larossa of Larossa Restaurant, arrived in Alba in 2014, after important experiences in large kitchens, from Carlo Cracco to Locanda del Pilone with Antonino Cannavacciuolo. Its is a local, elegant and modern with a kitchen that offers traditional dishes revisited without overturning, but always with a touch of original gourmet.
The other is Andrea Ribaldone, who gets the Michelin star for the third time, after only nine months from the opening of the Arborina Osteria in La Morra. Grown in the kitchens of Riccardo Aiachini, founder of the Restaurant La Fermata di Spinetta Marengo, where he obtained his first star in 2003. After experiences abroad and in the catering management sector, in 2014 he opened the restaurant I Due Buoi in Alessandria, awarded with the star in 2015.
The restaurant is adjacent to the Relais Arborina small and precious boutique hotel with a magnificent view over the hills of Barolo, from this year linked to the group Châteaux & Hôtels Collection. Charming and original, the gastronomic restaurant has thirty covers, open kitchen and a magnificent panoramic terrace on the hills of Barolo, called Bar&Grill Terrace.
It must be said that practically everywhere, in the hills of Unesco of Langhe Monferrato Roero, you eat well and drink better, but it is nevertheless comforting to know that you are never too far from a starry table where to enjoy a memorable gourmand experience.
