Throughout July, the Alps pearls,the alpine resorts that promote sweet mobility and ecological tourism, welcome guests with events and initiatives that are an irresistible invitation to rediscover the discreet charm of summer in the mountains.
Moena
La Perla trentina organizes Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July the 2nd edition of the Convention legs and innovation on sustainable mobility, with laboratories, tests of electric vehicles, meetings with experts in the field, guided excursions and the conference of the great geographer and explorer Franco Michieli. Absolutely to try the sensory path on foot in the woods, to find energy rediscovering an intimate and physical contact with nature: after the great success of last summer the route has been prolonged by another 600 meters.
Pragelato
A different holiday, where the cows, real queens of the Alps, are the great protagonists of a cheerful day on the meadows of the Pearl of Pragelato. The measures will not be the classics 90-60-90, but the candidates for the beauty contest "Miss Mucca" (8 July), are definitely a catwalk! The four-legged misses descend for a weekend from the pastures in altitude and the opportunity is useful to make known to all one of the strengths of the mountain economy and the local gastronomic production. In addition to the selection of the misses chosen by a special technical jury, the day allows you to discover an avian world full of suggestions, emotions and flavors really unique.
Sauris
The Friulian Pearl is famous for the delights of the palate: beer, jams, syrups, honey and especially the famous raw ham, with a sweet taste, smoked with beech wood and flavored with juniper and herbs. Every year Sauris dedicates well two weekend party to this delicious and superb product. At Sauris di Sotto stand where you can taste speck, gnocchi, grilled meat, sweets and especially ham. Along the streets of the village you can also find a lively market dedicated to the products of food and local crafts. The event takes place on the two weekends of 7-8 and 14-15 July.
Moso in Passiria
In July and August the localities of Alta Val Passiria organize the traditional "Frühschoppen", a morning toast with local specialties to approach the culture and customs of the place. The appointment at Plan (fraction of Moso in Passiria) is for July 15. There will be a farmers market with sale of local products, traditional music, folk groups and typical meals of Val Passiria based on canederli and krapfen.
Tires
Discovering the beauty of the Catinaccio with a special guide like Reinhold Messner does not really have equals. The Pearl of Tires on 19 July organizes an excursion with the great mountaineer, the first conqueror of the 14 Otto thousand. Racines
The Pearl of Racines has expanded its offer in electric mobility. From mid-June to the end of September 3 times a week guided tours are organized in e-bike, the special electro-assist bicycles with which I can all try on the mountain roads. 3 routes of different difficulty and the assistance of an experienced companion allow beginners and amateurs to enjoy a day on two wheels.
Funes
For the entire summer, visitors to the South Tyrolean Pearl will be able to take a look at the particular sheep with the glasses of the Val di Funes. Every Tuesday you will discover the fascinating secrets of this extraordinary sheep breed and the fantastic landscapes of the Odle along with the delicious local specialties. The day begins with an excursion on the pastures of the sheep and continues with a visit to the natural laboratory of the wool where you can observe the historical machines for its processing. In the evening relax enjoy with the tasting menu based on lamb specialities.
Nova Ponente
On July 26, from 8 pm, in the square of Nova Ponente you can taste the wines of the best South Tyrolean wineries and delight with the best peasant specialties of the region. The most popular wineries in Val d’Ega will offer their excellent mountain wines, leading visitors to the discovery of the shades and fragrances of this real elixir.
