Surely you all know what slow food is, but I bet that very few know what slow shopping is, even if it is too easy to imagine. My personal interpretation contemplates an entire weekend of shopping and relaxation, to spend without haste between art, nature, good tables and, of course, showcases and shops to go-go, possibly of great brands but from small prices. Where to relax by shopping, in fact, without the stress of the price tag from cardiopalma. impossible mission? All other, as long as the goal is one outlet village strategically located in a territory full of attractive landscapes, cultural, sports and, not least, food and wine, which never spoils.
That's why my favorite is Mondovicino Outlet Village, that besides being one of the largest commercial parks in Italy is also a hitch from Langhe, where I do at least a couple of raids a year.
The last one, only a few weeks ago, when the hills were all a flower, although still framed by the snowy peaks of the Alps. So, just to celebrate this spring explosion of nature and colors, we decide to give us a special accommodation and we book a room in Il Boscareto Resort & Spa in Serralunga d’Alba, the only 5 luxury stars in the area, a "castle" from contemporary minimal architecture overlooking the sinuous hills of Barolo, the king of wines. A spectacular 360-degree panorama, framed as a work of art in each of the rooms with magnificent windows.

We arrive in the evening, just in time for an aperitif overlooking the hills at sunset and then reach the La Coccinella trattoria in Serravalle Langhe, where a typical Langarola dinner awaits. The intimate and welcoming room, heated by a crackling fireplace and decorated with old farmer’s vintage wine bottles, is the worthy setting to taste traditional dishes revisited with a star by the renowned team of the Della Ferrera brothers, Alessandro, Massimo and Tiziano, the owners.
Dida: We open with a roundup of appetizing appetizers: Tartelletta di Acciughe, Pomodori e Olive Taggiasche
followed by Terrina dI Coniglio and Peperoni with Maionese al Basilico and Millefoglie di Quaglia, Polenta Croccante and Nocciole.
As a first dish we take Ravioloni Verdi of "Tuma di Pecora" with Burro di Zucchine... simply delicious, so that we make the bis without thinking twice
Then Rolata d’Agnello dell’Alta Langa roasted with fresh vegetables and cream potatoes and to finish Croccante al Gianduia with Granita al Barolo Chinato, a real delight!
