The first edition of TBDI – Travel Blogger Destination Italy, which was held in recent days Rimini inside the tourism fair TTG Dating, will certainly remain as a milestone in travel blogging history in Italy. About 150 travel blogger Italian and foreign (including us of Company of Travelers!) were selected by the organizers of the first truly B2B event dedicated to connecting who writes and tells travel up blog blog or in video with the tourist industry, fully legitimizing what was so far considered a little more than an emerging phenomenon and instead has become a channel of communication ineludible from the world of tourism.
They have been aware of it for a long time, as they have shown us with extreme professionalism Blog, mainly foreigners, who alternated in the panel and training sessions on the first day, and how I could then find out by comparing with some of them. I mean, "travel blogging is serious business", it can really turn into a dream profession, as long as it detects a sustainable business model, and of these times is not little.
What has so far been missing, at least here in Italy, was the link between demand and offer, as well as an off-line meeting place for travel bloggers/vloggers, instances that this first edition of TBD Italy 2013 He was able to fill with perfect timing. As it has also contributed to highlight the gap, regarding the perception of the reality of travel blogging in general, between national and foreign tourism operators, emerged during the Meet Your Blogger Day.
If foreigners were in fact perfectly comfortable and aware of the opportunity to get in touch with the Blog, some Italian operators seemed more intrigued than convinced, looking for answers more than proposals. The road is still long, indeed very long, but as an ancient Chinese proverb says, "a long journey always begins with a small step". E TBD Italy 2013 it was the small, big step on the right road that, hopefully, will take us very far.
